Kristen & Christopher, Stone House wedding photos

Kristen and Christopher’s wedding on Saturday ended with a wonderful outside fire pit at the Stone House at Stirling Ridge in Warren.
But the beginning of the day was just as unique, Kristen rode to the St. Luke’s Church in a fire truck.

Megan & Matt, Bretton Woods wedding photos

It was a perfect day for Megan and Matt’s wedding at Bretton Woods in Morris Plains.

So many nice touches, the amazing flowers, the cool shoes and even butterflies in the gardens.

As you can see, Bretton Woods is a wonderful venue for a New Jersey outdoor garden wedding.

Carly & Seth, Jersey City wedding photos

Weddings are always special.
They are even more special when you are good friends with both the bride and groom. That was the case for Carly and Seth’s wedding yesterday.

The day started at the gorgeous Hyatt Regency in Jersey City, then on to Temple Beth-El (thanks, Rabbi Brickman) and finally the reception at O’Connell’s on Montgomery Street.

You can see from the photos below that this is a fun loving group.

Carly and Seth, thanks for letting me be a part of the first of many wonderful days together.

Caroline & Bill, Grand Summit Hotel wedding photos

Caroline and Bill are on an airplane today heading to their honeymoon after Friday’s wonderful wedding at the Grand Summit hotel in Summit, New Jersey.
Hopefully they see this sneak peek of their wedding photos while sitting on the warm sand enjoying a cold drink.

Thanks to all their friends and relatives for making me feel right at home. Everybody had a great time, including me.

Amanda & Brendan, Liberty State Park engagement photos

Carly & Seth / Jersey City engagement photo shoot

Engagement photo sessions are always fun but it’s even more enjoyable when the couple are long time friends.
The Jersey City waterfront is a special place for Carly and Seth so it was a perfect spot for their engagement photos.

The best wedding venue in New Jersey

It’s time to pick my favorite wedding venue from 2009. There are so many ways to judge: outstanding service and staff, sheer beauty, best food, best photo backgrounds, etc…

Some of my favorites are the Grand Summit Hotel (click to see wedding photos) , the Lambertville Inn (click to see wedding photos), The Lobster Shanty in Point Pleasant, The Mill at Spring Lake Heights, the Park Avenue Club in Florham Park. Each has something great to offer.

In 2010 I’m looking forward to weddings at the Hyatt Regency in Jersey City (click to see wedding photos), the Mansion at Bretton Woods (click here to see Bretton Woods wedding photos), the Woodcliff Manor, the Stone House (click here to see a Stone House reception) and many others.

Ok, enough stalling. The envelope, please!

My favorite wedding venue for 2009 was the Mallard Island Yacht Club (click here to see a Mallard Island wedding)near Long Beach Island. It’s a truly stunning venue right on Barnegat Bay. The unique groom shack, the boathouse chapel and the great photo backgrounds put it into first place.

And since it’s about 20 degrees outside right now it’s nice to think about photographing a beach wedding.

New Jersey / Pennsylvania wedding photojournalism

George Washington never crossed the Delaware River four times in one day, but we did for this wedding!
Melissa and Bryan dressed in Pennsylvania, the ceremony was held at Sacred Heart Church in Riverton, New Jersey and the reception was at the lovely BelleVoir Manor in Bensalem, PA.
