Parents struggle to find housing for their children with disabilities

I just finished a stills and video project on New Jersey’s Special Needs Housing Trust Fund that was supposed to fund housing projects for people with developmental disabilities. There are now 4,879 “priorities” on an 8,000-person waiting list for people with developmental disabilities. The Department of Human Services, facing a severe housing shortage and an unrelenting budget crunch, was able to remove 229 names from the waiting list this fiscal year.

The Gatsby Salon in Green Brook was a crowded place. The whole cast of the Style Network’s reality tv show Jerseylicious, hair and makeup stylists, and a large crew from the Star-Ledger’s Inside Jersey magazine.
It was a long day but the cast was fun to work with and results were great.

ACE video shoot, creating multimedia for non-profit groups

Recently the very talented folks at Design for Social Good asked me to produce a video that highlighted the amazing work of ACE, a New York group that empowers the homeless.
The Design for Social Good team was hired to create new branding, logo and website for ACE.
Video was a perfect way to tell the story of this unique organization and the people they have helped.
