Buried with his boots on

Walt Keever, one of New Jersey’s last cowboys, was buried today.

His family and friends made sure he had a proper cowboy send-off.

Walt, who was very well known throughout the New Jersey horse community, was a professional steer-wrestler and owned a rendering plant in Sussex County, which provided the horse head for the famous scene in the Godfather.
