Eyes of the Storm

The powerful story of the Times-Picayune photo staff as they witnessed Hurricane Katrina destroy their city.

“I shot pictures in self-defense because there was nothing else I could do” — Ted Jackson
“I felt like I was witnessing the city drowning frame-by-frame I was watching the city drowned.” — Kathy Anderson

After watching this video I was prompted to put together a slideshow of my Hurricane Katrina photographs.
Luckily I was able to go home after a week in New Orleans, some of the Times-Picayune staff did not have homes anymore.
